Our research into the very early detection of coronary heart disease
continues. We add new tests when the latest research suggests that
they have useful diagnostic and preventative value.
Our research into the relationship between nutritional status and
atherosclerosis is still in the early phases and will continue. On the back
of this research we will later begin a controlled trial of dietary
supplementation to ascertain the possible beneficial effects of various
supplements on the progress of artery disease. We will use the rate of
growth of artery ‘furring’ or atheroma to assess their impact.
We are currently considering the installation of a cardiac CT scanner in
order to extend our in-house ‘under one roof’ investigation policy.
